Our hands-on learning environment provides students with the readiness to enter a career in the dynamic hospitality industry. Trainees are guided by a professional chef and often led by culinary professionals from New Orleans’ restaurant and hospitality industries.

Earn industry-based credentials

Trainees learn how to work in restaurants, hotels, and how to manage operations that support our tourism and hospitality industries here in New Orleans. Trainees will have the opportunity to earn Industry-Based Certifications.

The Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management Academy trains students to be leaders in the New Orleans culinary and hospitality industries. Trainees learn basic food and beverage management, safety, and the skills in the kitchen to jumpstart their careers or land a job. Students will hone their effective communication skills, teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking in the classroom and culinary lab. Additionally, students have the opportunity to gain real-time hospitality experience in our student-run enterprise, JavaScript Cafe.
